SEILAH'S 1ST BDAY PARTY

Seilah Masani Arianne Taufa was born on 2nd July, 2009 at 9:15am. I was so excited to plan her 1st birthday party, even tho Una said he didn't think we should have a party for her because she's not going to remember it, but I didn't care!! I still wanted to give my baby girl Seilah a birthday party!! It turned out better than I thought it would, and had more family and friends come. We had the Hifo family from Cali come for her birthday and we had all our family and friends from our ward and from Salt Lake!! Grandma Helen bought Seilah a pinata and filled it with candy, and I helped Seilah hit the pinata and she actually had a really fun time hitting it. We also had all the other kids hit the pinata, it was really fun. We had great food and great cake. It was a little hot coz the ice cream melted before we could pass out cake, but it was still loads of fun!! Here's some photos from her party!!

JUNE 2010....

So June was another busy month for us. For starters, Una got a job working a barber shop and is working full-time in 4 different shops in Provo and Orem.  Una's cousin Steven Ngatuvai and his white brother Mason Keller graduated from high school.

We also had Una's family reunion in June. His aunt, sisters, cousins, and all their kids came from Reno. His other cousins came from Hawaii and Missouri. We had such a good time. We had a dance Friday night, a picnic Saturday afternoon followed by a testimony meeting Saturday night, and saying good-byes on Sunday. It was so much fun to see everyone and for everyone to see Seilah. Of course she was loved by everyone and didn't want anyone to touch her!! LOL!! She actually started walking the week before so she really didn't want anyone to hold her. We were also trying to get ready for her 1st birthday party that we were planning for July.

Another Update of the Past Few Months....

So the last few months have been busy and fun at the same time. 

MAY 2010

So May was a fun month. We did a lot of things but of course I forgot my camera. Sean and Annie came out to visit us and Grandma Helen. We went to the park a lot and let Seilah play. Seilah still isn't walking yet, but of course she thinks that she can. On Memorial Day, we went up to Salt Lake to the cemetery to visit Una's dad. We also had to get ready for Una's family reunion that was happening in June.

Update Of The Last Few Months....

So the last few months have been very busy and fun at the same time. On March 6th, 2010, my family and I were sealed in The Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity!! It was 1 of the best days of my life!! Of course I was crying like a baby the entire time!! We had lots of family and support there and 1 of the best parts for me was that my grandfather Lyle Loosle was the sealer and the other best part was that I had my 2 childhood friends there. I was so glad and over joyed that they were able to make it and be apart of our special day. Of course both of our families were also there. I now realize and know even more than I ever did before about how important it is to be sealed to my family. I have gone to 2 other sealings since ours and both times have just realized how grateful I am to now be sealed to my great husband and beautiful daughter. 

April 2010

So April has been another different experience for our family. We now have 2 children our daughter Seilah 10 months old and Una's youngest sister Vika 13 yrs. old. We have only had Vika for a couple of weeks so far and it has been an eventful time already. So now I do know what it's like to have 2 children. I really just hope that having Una's youngest sister Vika will not make us not want to have any other children because I really want more children or at least just 1 more child. We also moved into a new place that we love so much because it's bigger than our old apartment and has lots of room for Seilah to crawl around and hopefully soon learn to walk. Seilah wants to start walking so bad but at the same time, she's too scared because everytime she tries by herself to start walking, she falls and hurts herself. Our new apartment has stairs so hopefully Seilah will learn how to walk or crawl up and down the stairs sooner because she's too heavy to carry back and forth!! lol 

Seilah, my mom and I also went to California for a wedding of my little brother's best friend Eddie Arellano and my 1st cousin Yasmine's baby shower. We drove down Eddie's wife's car and then flew back home. It was so much fun to see all of our family and be able to just relax and have some fun. Seilah had so much fun with all of her cousins and all her aunties and uncles. I think Seilah missed her daddy so much that she thought my oldest brother Christian was her daddy!! It was actually really cute!! I was really glad we got to spend some time with our family because we were able to take pictures with all of Seilah's cousins from my side of the family. I just can't believe how big all of my nieces and nephews are getting. I'm really sad that I missed out on a lot of things and I know that my family feels the same way as I do. Glad we got a chance to have some fun in Cali, and now we're back to reality and getting settled into our new place!!

LAST FEW MONTHS....

My family has been preparing to go to the Temple to be sealed and all I have to say is WOW!! I didn't realize how hard Satan would work on us until we finally set our dates to go to the temple!! Things in our house have been crazy and not fun at all. We set our dates and have our interviews with the Bishop and Stake Pres. are set and now I'm getting more and more excited and at the same time really nervous. I have waited for this moment all my life and it's finally happening and with my best friend and daughter!! I am in such a lost for words, and that's a good thing!! We have most of our family and friends coming up here for the sealing and I'm really excited about my 2 sisters/best friends and their moms that are able to come and share this special moment with me and my family!! Those 2 girls have always been great examples to me in my life and now I get to share this moment with them and I'm so excited and so grateful because now I fully understand the happiness and blessings that they have been receiving and now myself and my family will be able to receive those blessing as well.

But the month of January has been a stressful month. Una got really sick and was in the hospital for a couple of days and had a lot of tests done. He was having a bad burning feeling in the inside of his stomach, and the results came back that he had some virus that is caused by bad water. And on top of that we found mold inside of our bathroom, so we have to find a new home and move as soon as we find a new place. So on top of me trying to get things packed and get us settled in, I have been taking care of my husband and daughter and trying to find the both of us jobs. So I will be so grateful when these next couple of months are over!!

CHRISTMAS...

For our 1st Christmas as a family, we went to California. It was such a good idea because we had so much fun and loved the warm weather and couldn't get enough of the warm weather!! We also loved spending time with my family and of course my family couldn't get enough of Seilah!!
